Industri Kapital has signed an agreement whereby the Industri Kapital 2000 Fund will acquire the tinting systems business of Tikkurila CPS Oy from Kemira Oyj. Kemira will retain a minority interest of approximately 30% in the business. Furthermore Finnish MB Funds and management will become minority investors in the new company.

“Industri Kapital aims to support the envisaged growth of the tinting systems business. We are confident that the management team with its proven track record and clear vision will be able to strengthen the company’s position in the future. We also look forward to working together with Kemira in further developing the business”, says Michael Rosenlew, Director, Industri Kapital.

“This is a very satisfying solution for Tikkurila CPS’s tinting systems business. With our new main owners we can further progress as an independent company, and will be able to increase our efforts to build and develop our business”, says Raimo Piironen, now President of Tikkurila Oy and who will become Managing Director of the new company.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.
